It has been found that adolescents who have been mentored succeed more in their academics and career choices than those who have not. This is because mentors serve as role models who provide guidance and resources that empower their mentees to make better choices leading to success. Lack of access to appropriate mentoring relationships may lead adolescents to make choices below their capacity which makes them less productive.
Official data states that there are over ten million Secondary School students in Nigeria who naturally belong to the ‘Generation Z’ (anyone born after the mid-1990s). This generation is more expectant, entrepreneurial, proactive and global because of the impact of technology on their lives. We believe that these characteristics are natural ingredients for success and when combined with the right mentoring relationships will empower Secondary School students to be more productive and competitive in the world.
At B2SL, we seek to empower Secondary School students with the resources, initiatives and inspiration for success in their academics and any career of their choice and supporting them to maximise their potentials. We use both online and offline platforms to create mentoring and empowerment communities that profile the success secrets of people (both young and old) so they our audience can have trustworthy models who have distinguished themselves around our core values to emulate. Our platforms are designed to help Secondary School students identify, nurture and utilize their abilities to create positive change in the world.
We partner with Secondary School students, schools, parents, governments, NGOs, organisations and other stakeholders in the society who support the empowerment of our target audience for a successful life.
